For the Georgetown Hoyas faithful, the last few years have felt like wading through molasses. Hope has been a flickering candle in a stiff wind, often threatening to extinguish entirely. For some diehard fans, the light did go out, unfortunately. The sting of missing out on marquee transfer portal recruits (let’s ignore that unnamed player, coach, and conference rival for a while, shall we?), felt like a familiar, disheartening refrain.
Had anything truly changed? Was the climb back to relevance destined to be a slow, agonizing crawl? Did the Ed Cooley and the Hoyas squander their single season year with a once-in-a-decade freshman center?
