Georgetown completely dismantled Mount St. Mary’s 102-68 on Wednesday night in game where virtually everything went the way of the Hoyas. Everywhere you look Georgetown was passing a test with flying colors. Five Hoyas scored in double figures as Jessie Govan went for his second straight double-double with 20 and 14. The Hoyas dominated in the paint 48-28, outscored the Mountaineers 35-10 in bench points, held a 33-7 advantaged in fast break points, and skunked Mt. Saint Mary’s 18-0 in second chance points.
Ewing’s squad did all of this with starters Jonathan Mulmore and Marcus Derrickson hardly available in the first half due to early foul trouble.
