WASHINGTON - Georgetown University football player Ty Williams (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard) was transferred last Wednesday from UPMC Altoona hospital in Altoona, Pa., to Shepherd Center in Atlanta for spinal cord injury rehabilitation. Williams, a junior linebacker, sustained a spinal cord injury when making a tackle during a September 5 football game at Saint Francis (Pa.) in Loretto, Pa. During his time at UPMC Altoona, Williams received visits from Head Coach Rob Sgarlata and Defensive Coordinator Luke Thompson and University President John J. DeGioia. Throughout his time in Altoona, members of the Saint Francis (Pa.
