WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football program had 30 student-athletes named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll when the league office announced the list on Friday morning. The 30 honor roll selections are the second-highest total in the PL.
The Patriot League Football Academic Honor Roll recognizes the classroom accomplishments of the student-athletes during the fall semester with a minimum 3.2 grade-point average (GPA) necessary for inclusion on the list. Overall, the Patriot League had 199 total members earn football academic honors, with each school finishing with at least 20 selections.
“I am extremely proud of the effort in the classroom by our student-athletes,” Head Coach Rob Sgarlata said.
