Bradley Hayes returns, Hoyas win first game in a month to advance to face Villanova.
So it turns out Georgetown didn't give up winning for Lent. The Hoyas shook off a six-game losing streak that punctuated their regular season to beat DePaul 70-53 in the opening round of the Big East Tournament Wednesday night. D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera led Georgetown with 20 points, keying a 16-2 second-half run that put the game out of reach. Bradley Hayes also returned after missing a month with a broken hand to score 10 points in the post, and LJ Peak also chipped in 10 to continue a strong sophomore season.
