The Georgetown Hoyas are adding a former player to their coaching staff in WNBA star Sugar Rodgers. Coach James Howard will be adding the most decorated player in Georgetown women’s basketball history as an assistant coach.
Ta’Shauna “Sugar” Rodgers played at Georgetown from 2009-2013 where she accumulated 2,518 points, with 346 three-pointers, 326 steals, 43 blocks, and 674 rebounds. Rodgers was drafted 14th overall by the Minnesota Lynx in 2013.
Rodgers was traded to the New York Liberty in 2014 and the Las Vegas Aces in 2019 before transitioning to a role as an assistant coach with the Aces in 2021.
