Smith-Rivera Ties Career High with 33 Points, Georgetown Beats St. John’s, 93-73

NEW YORK - Georgetown University senior guard D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central/Oak Hill) tied his career high with 33 points and the Hoyas connected on nearly 52 percent of their field goals en route to 93-73 win over St. John’s at Madison Square Garden Wednesday night.

Georgetown, winners of five of its last six games, improves to 11-6 overall and 4-1 in the BIG EAST Conference, while St. John’s falls to 7-11 overall and 0-5 in league play.

Smith-Rivera hit 11-of-16 shots from the field, including 5-of-8 from three-point land, to finish with 33 points, while adding six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.
