Georgetown will play at Illinois in the 2018 Gavitt Tipoff Games, multiple sources relay to THE GLOBAL PHENOMENON.
This will be the 4th year for the Gavitt Tipoff Games, named in honor of the Dave Gavitt, former athletic director at Providence College and the first commissioner of the Big East Conference. The games feature teams from the Big East the Big Ten.
The Hoyas are 0-2 in the Gavitt Games so far, with both losses against Maryland. Georgetown did not play in the Gavitt Games last season.
The Fighting Illini are coming off of a 14-18 (4-14) season under coach Brad Underwood.
