SCHEDULE NEWS: Gavitt Games ‘Likely Dead’, Syracuse ‘Likely in January’

Well after some positive news yesterday and some commentary about family with the Georgetown Hoyas, it seems two scheduling traditions may be in jeopardy with this COVID-19 year.

With some positive news, it looks like the annual Georgetown-Syracuse game may find a Saturday in January for the schedule.

Jim Boeheim, head coach of the Syracuse Orange, had indicated in September that “Right now we have zero games,” so this is a great improvement, for the rivalry’s sake.
