Rodney Pryor to Play in Portsmouth Invitational

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University men’s basketball player Rodney Pryor (Evanston, Ill./Notre Dame Prep/Robert Morris) will play in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament this week in Virginia.

Pryor was one of 64 of the best college basketball players (all seniors) from across the nation invited to participate in the four-day, 12-game tournament in front of representatives from every NBA team, as well as teams from overseas. The Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, in existence since 1953, will be held from Wednesday, April 12 to Saturday, April 15 at the Churchland High School Sports Complex in Portsmouth.

Pryor, a graduate student who earned honorable mention All-BIG EAST honors, led Georgetown in scoring, and ranked third in the BIG EAST, with 18.
