Per Jon Rothstein, Ron Thompson—son of former coach John Thompson Jr. and younger brother of former coach John Thompson III—will be joining the Patrick Ewing and the Hoyas staff in an administrative role for the upcoming season.

Since pictures began surfacing of the younger Thompson in athletic gear at team events earlier in the summer, such a move has been suspected.
Have known this for awhile but glad cat is out of the bag.
