Georgetown reportedly extended coach Patrick Ewing after the Hoyas’ unlikely Big East Tournament championship run last season.
According to FanDuel’s Jon Rothstein, Ewing’s contract is no longer set to end following the 2022-23 season. Rothstein’s report does not include details about the extension.
The news of Ewing’s extension came a day after Georgetown dropped its 16th straight game with a 74-66 loss to No. 10 Villanova. The Hoyas are 6-20 overall and 0-15 in Big East play. Their only win over a Power 6 school was a 79-75 win over Syracuse on Dec. 11.
When Ewing signed to become Georgetown’s head coach in 2017, his contract was for six seasons with a base salary of $2.
