WASHINGTON - Georgetown University women's basketball senior Ki-Ke Rafiu (Offa, Nigeria/Saints Neuman-Goretti) was named as a nominee for the 2016 Allstate WBCA and NABC Good Works Teams® on Wednesday. She is one of 103 women's nominees and a record 257 total.
The prestigious community service award recognizes a distinguished group of student-athletes who have demonstrated a commitment to enriching the lives of others and contributing to the greater good in their communities.
Rafiu was nominated due to her work in her home country of Nigeria. For the past three years, she has collected shoes and equipment to bring back to her old recreation center and also helped coach young girls who also have a passion for the sport.
