Syracuse, N.Y. – Georgetown junior guard L.J. Peak (Gaffney, S.C./Gaffney) recorded his second career double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds and the Hoyas hit key free throws down the stretch en route to a 78-71 win over Syracuse on Saturday at the Carrier Dome.
It was the fifth-straight win for the Hoyas, who improve to 7-4 overall, while Syracuse falls to 6-4. The Hoyas have won the last two meetings between the teams and it was the third win in the last four trips to the Carrier Dome under Head Coach John Thompson III.
