Philadelphia, Pa. - Sophomore guard L.J. Peak (Gaffney, S.C./Gaffney) scored a career-high 31 points, but it was not enough as the Georgetown University men’s basketball team closed out the 2015-16 regular season with an 84-71 loss at No. 3 Villanova on Saturday afternoon at Wells Fargo Center.
It was the team’s sixth-straight loss and the ninth in the last 10 games as the Hoyas finished the regular season slate with a 14-17 overall record and a 7-11 mark in the BIG EAST Conference.
Peak hit 10-of-16 shots from the floor, including a pair of 3-pointers, and was 9-of-12 from the free throw line to finish with a game-high 31 points.
