CHICAGO - The No. 5 Georgetown women’s basketball team fell short against the No. 4 St. John’s Red Storm, 65-52, on Sunday night in a quarterfinal matchup in the 2016 BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Tournament, presented by the Jeep Brand. The Hoyas lost a 65-52 decision at DePaul’s McGrath-Phillips Arena in Chicago.
With the loss, the Hoyas fall to 16-13 as the Red Storm improves to 21-9 and advances to the semifinals.
“This is always the moment if it doesn't go your way, you find things wrong, but I saw a lot of things that went right for our team and things that we can build on,” Head Coach Natasha Adair said in a postgame press conference.
