WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team had two student-athletes named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team on Wednesday. Senior wide receiver Jim McLaughlin (Fairfax, Va./WT Woodson) and senior defensive back Jelani Williamson (Silver Spring, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel) were both selected for the second-consecutive season.
The 14-member all-academic team was selected by a vote of the league's sports information directors who could not cast a vote for their own student-athletes. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average, must have at least sophomore standing at his institution and must have played in at least 50 percent of the team's games.
