The Georgetown Hoyas lost to the Butler Bulldogs on Saturday at Capital One Arena. The Hoyas came out slow—or the well rested Bulldogs started strong—and chased Butler for almost all of the game.
Butler had evidently also prepared well in that week off as they found ways to slow scoring by Jessie Govan (2-8 FG) and James Akinjo (0-6 FG) in ways reminiscent of the Villanova game last Sunday.
The Hoyas stuck around all afternoon with the help of free throws (17-22) and offensive rebounds (15), led by Josh LeBlanc (4 ORBs), along with some timely three-pointers from Jamorko Pickett (3-6).
