WASHINGTON – Senior quarterback Kyle Nolan (Branford, Conn./Branford[Choate Rosemary Hall]) was named the Corvias Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, while junior defensive end Phil Novacki (Great Falls, Va./Langley) was selected to the weekly honor roll when the league announced award winners on Monday afternoon.
Nolan turned in one of the best performances of his career, tossing a career-high five touchdown passes, while completing 28-of-36 pass attempts for 311 yards. Nolan also carried the ball five times for 48 yards, as the Georgetown University football team (3-3, 1-0 Patriot League) defeated Lafayette College, 38-7, its largest margin of victory over a Patriot League opponent since joining the league in 2001.
