WASHINGTON - Georgetown University football sophomore linebacker J’V’on Butler (Melbourne, Fla./Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy) has been named a Patriot League Honorable Mention selection, as announced by the league on Monday. The honor recognizes Butler’s efforts this past Saturday against Bucknell.
Butler tied a career high with 11 tackles, the fourth time this season he has reached the mark. He also forced a fumble that was recovered by the Hoyas in the fourth quarter. Butler and the Hoyas defense held Bucknell to just 109 yards passing and under 300 yards of total offense.
This is Butler’s second Patriot League Honorable Mention accolade this season and the 11th of the season for the Hoyas.
