Jethro Francois Named STATS FCS National Freshman of the Week

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team's freshman safety Jethro Francois (Miami, Fla./Winter Haven/Victory Christian Academy) was named the STATS FCS National Freshman of the Week when weekly honors were announced on Monday afternoon. Francois becomes the first Hoya to earn national freshman of the week honors. He was also the Patriot League Rookie of the Week.

In his first career start, Francois compiled 15 total tackles and 11 solo tackles, a GU freshman record to help defeat Patriot League rival Bucknell, 17-9. He also had 1.5 tackles for loss, and a pass breakup, while combining with senior linebacker Matt Satchell (Cherry Hill, N.
