WASHINGTON - Georgetown University junior center Jessie Govan (Queens Village, N.Y./Wings Academy) has been selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the fourth time this season, as announced by the league on Monday.
Last week, Georgetown (8-0) went 2-0 with wins over Howard, 81-67, and North Carolina A&T, 83-74. In those two games, Govan averaged 23.0 ppg and 15.5 rpg while shooting 64.2 percent from the field (18-for-28).
Against the Bison, Govan posted a game-high 24 points and tied a career high with 16 rebounds, marking the second time in three games that he reached his career high in rebounds.
