Jessie Govan scored 20 points and pulled down 14 rebounds and Georgetown gave new head coach Patrick Ewing another victory, beating Mount St. Mary’s 102-68 on Wednesday night.
Govan had 20 points and 15 rebounds for the Hoyas (2-0) in their season-opening victory against Jacksonville. Against the Mountaineers (0-3), he was 7-of-9 shooting and made all three of his 3-point attempts.
Jahvon Blair added 19 points and five assists, Jagan Mosley 15 points and five assists, with Kaleb Johnson and Jamorko Pickett each posting 14 points and seven rebounds.
The Hoyas shot 57 percent, 50 percent from the arc (11 of 22) and outrebounded the Mountaineers 51-23.
