WASHINGTON - Georgetown University Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Lee Reed has named James Howard the new head coach of the women's basketball program. Howard becomes the 10th women's basketball head coach in the history of the program.
Howard served as the associate head coach of the Hoyas for the past two seasons and brings more than 30 years of college basketball experience, including a season (1998-99) as an assistant on the Hilltop.
"I'm excited to introduce James as the new head coach for our women's basketball program," Reed said. "He is an excellent coach with many years of experience and a familiarity with our student-athletes.
