WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team (8-4, 0-2 BIG EAST) will face the Villanova University Wildcats (4-8, 0-2 BIG EAST) in a BIG EAST Conference matchup at The Pavilion on Wednesday. The opening tip is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network. This will be GU’s first conference road game of the season.
On Friday, Georgetown fell, 84-77, to the Marquette University Golden Eagles at McDonough Arena. Four Hoyas scored in double figures as junior guard DiDi Burton (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore City College) led the way with a career-high 19 points and pulled down six rebounds.
