WASHINGTON - A 3-point basket from senior forward Faith Woodard (Brandon, Fla./Freedom) sent the game into overtime, and a layup from senior guard Tyshell King (Baltimore, Md./St. Frances Academy) sealed the victory as the Georgetown University women’s basketball team topped the Providence College Friars (11-13, 2-10 BE), 72-70, on Friday afternoon at McDonough Arena in a BIG EAST Conference matchup. With the victory, the Hoyas improved to 14-7 overall and 6-5 in league play.
“We’ve talked about our depth all year, and I’m so proud of the people who stepped up,” said Georgetown Head Coach Natasha Adair.
