Hoyas Roll to 38-14 Victory in Season Opener

WASHINGTON - Senior quarterback Tim Barnes (Oradell, N.J./River Dell Regional) threw for career highs of 221 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Georgetown University football team to a season-opening 38-14 victory over Davidson College on Saturday afternoon at Cooper Field. The Hoyas moved to 1-0 on the season while the Wildcats fell to 0-1.

Barnes finished 25-of-33 with the four touchdowns and one interception. Two of the touchdown passes went to Justin Hill (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) who had a team-high six catches for 62 yards. Brandon Williams (Germantown, Md./Northwest) finished with a team-high 66 yards receiving and a touchdown while Alex Valles (Danvers, Mass.
