WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women’s basketball team had a solid first half, but could not stop a second-half run as the Hoyas fell, 60-49, to the Fordham University Rams (22-11) in the first round of the 2017 Postseason Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) Friday evening at McDonough Arena. The Hoyas finish the season with a record of 17-13 in the team’s second-consecutive trip to the postseason.
“I didn’t think there was a sense of urgency coming out of that halftime and, this time of year, it doesn’t matter what it says across your chest all of the teams that are in the postseason are good enough,” said Georgetown Head Coach Natasha Adair.
