WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team dropped a 60-40 decision to the Auburn Tigers (3-1) Friday evening at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in the first game of the Challenge in Music City. The Hoyas hung around for the first three quarters, but a late run was too much to overcome to drop to 2-2 on the season.
“For the second-straight game, I was proud we didn’t quit in the end and we continued to fight. We’re still a work in progress, and when you’re playing teams with NCAA Tournament experience, it’s a test to see where we are in a young season,” said Georgetown Head Coach James Howard.
