RICHMOND, Va. - The Georgetown University women’s basketball team defeated the VCU Rams (2-8), 71-59, Thursday evening at the Siegel Center in Richmond, Virginia. With the win the Hoyas conclude nonconference play finishing at an even .500 with a mark of 5-5 overall.
“It was great to get our top three scorers back into double figures,” said Georgetown Head Coach James Howard. “I thought we did some things early defensively to take them out of their flow. It was a game to build on and we’ll keep working to put 40 minutes together.”
