PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The Georgetown University women’s basketball team (1-0) opened the 2015-16 season with a 71-60 victory over the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore (UMES) Lady Hawks (0-1) on Friday evening at the W.P. Hytche Center in Princess Anne, Md.
Sophomore guard Dorothy Adomako (Midlothian, Va./Cosby) led the way for the Hoyas with 23 points and seven rebounds, while senior guard Katie McCormick (Leonardtown, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) managed 14 points and six boards. Junior guard Faith Woodard (Brandon, Fla./Freedom) rounded out those in double figures with 11 points and three rebounds.
