WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team (8-2) continued its seven-game win streak with a 70-59 victory over the University of Alabama Crimson Tide (7-1) on Sunday afternoon at McDonough Arena. It was Georgetown’s final nonconference game of the season and also handed Alabama its first loss on the year.
"The team just wanted this game. They knew what this game meant and, we talk about our resume to March, everything matters," said Georgetown Head Coach Natasha Adair. “This group knows me and we’ve been together for a while now and I love them because they just fight and it doesn’t matter who gets the credit.
