WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team (0-1, 0-0 Patriot League) will open its home schedule on Saturday evening when they host Marist (0-1, 0-0 Pioneer League) under the lights at Multi-Sport Field. The opening kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
SERIES HISTORY vs. MARIST: The Hoyas and Red Foxes will meet for the 18th time in program history with Georgetown holding a 13-4 series advantage, including a 27-7 victory at Marist last season. Junior defensive end Phil Novacki (Great Falls, Va./Langley) returned an interception 48 yards for a touchdown and had 1.5 sacks in the GU victory.
