Fans of your Georgetown Hoyas need to prepare themselves to hear the name “Sleepy Floyd” more often this spring. A new action-comedy film titled ‘Freaky Tales’ is coming to theaters in April, and it features the familiar name with a surprising twist. The movie, which premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, stars Pedro Pascal of “Mandalorian” and “The Last of Us” fame and is directed by Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, the duo behind “Captain Marvel.” The heist movie boasts an ensemble cast that includes the late Angus Cloud, Ben Mendelsohn, and Jay Ellis, along with cameos from Tom Hanks and Oakland’s own Too $hort and Marshawn Lynch.
