A team of Hoya alums will play for the chance at the $2 million prize in this summer’s The Basketball Tournament. While Hoyas such as Austin Freeman, Chris Wright, Jason Clark and Michael Sweetney have played on separate teams previously, never before has there been a unified team of Georgetown players.
The Tournament has partnered with the Big East Conference and will hold a mini-Tournament of Georgetown, St. John’s, Marquette and Seton Hall alums with the winning squad advancing into the Sweet 16 of the larger tournament.
