Georgetown is coming off one of the worst seasons in program history, but one of the top transfers in the country still wants to be a Hoya.
Georgetown announced Monday that former LSU guard Brandon Murray is transferring to the school, adding a double-digit scorer to a team that won just six games last season. Murray, who averaged 10 points and three rebounds per game as a freshman, was ranked as CBS Sports’ third-best player in college basketball’s transfer portal.
“I’m happy to welcome Brandon Murray to the Hilltop. He chose Georgetown and we want to make him feel right at home,” Georgetown coach Patrick Ewing said in a press release.
