Georgetown Picked Fourth in BIG EAST; Copeland, Peak Earn All-League Honors

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men’s basketball team was picked to finish tied for fourth place in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches’ poll, announced on Tuesday at BIG EAST Media Day on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.

Villanova, the defending national champion, was the preseason pick by the coaches to win the BIG EAST, for the third-straight year. Xavier (one first place vote) was selected second, with Creighton third and the Hoyas were tied for fourth place with Seton Hall.

Butler was selected sixth, with Marquette seventh, DePaul was tabbed eighth, Providence was voted ninth and St.
