WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women’s basketball team will open BIG EAST Conference play on Thursday evening matching up against the Providence College Friars at 7 p.m. in Rhode Island. On Saturday, the Hoyas will travel to Omaha, Nebraska for a 2 p.m. ET contest. Both games will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
On Thursday, Georgetown defeated the VCU Rams, 71-59, at the Siegel Center in Richmond, Virginia. With the win the Hoyas concluded nonconference play finishing at an even .500 with a mark of 5-5 overall.
