Georgetown has announced the hire of its new women’s basketball coach, promoting associate head coach James Howard to the top post.
Howard will be filling the role vacated by outgoing head coach Natasha Adair, who departed for the coaching job at Delaware.
He has spent the last two years on Coach Adair’s staff, also spending the previous four years at Bethune-Cookman. Overall, he has been on successful, improving teams, as the Hoyas have continued to improve in the past two seasons, posting a 17-13 record last season, while Bethune-Cookman had 10 or more wins in every season Howard was on staff.
