CHICAGO - The junior duo of center Jessie Govan (Queens Village, N.Y./Wings Academy) and forward Marcus Derrickson (Bowie, Md./Brewster Academy [N.H.]) combined for 49 points as the Georgetown men's basketball team garnered its first BIG EAST win of the season, defeating DePaul on the road, 90-81. With the win, the Hoyas are now 11-3 on the season and own a 1-2 record in BIG EAST play. DePaul slips to 7-8 overall and 0-3 in league action.
"If we are going to be good both Marcus and Jessie have to be the horses that pull the cart," Head Coach Patrick Ewing said after the game.
