WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team closed out the 2017 season on Saturday, falling to Colgate University, 35-10, in a Patriot League matchup at Cooper Field. With the loss, the Hoyas finish the season at 1-10 overall and 0-6 in league play, while the Raiders wrap up at 7-4 on the year, and 5-1 in conference action.
David Akere (Carrolton, Texas/Hebron) led all players with 14 tackles, giving him 274 for his career which is good for fifth all-time in Georgetown’s record books. Daniel Yankovich (Ramsey, N.J./Don Bosco Prep) also finished in double figures with 10 tackles, while Khristian Tate (Warner Robins, Ga.
