Georgetown Falls to Marquette in BIG EAST Opener, 76-66

Milwaukee, Wis. - Georgetown rallied in the second half to pull within eight points, but could not get closer, falling to Marquette, 76-66, in the BIG EAST opener for both schools on Wednesday night at Bradley Center.

The loss ends a six-game win streak for the Hoyas, who fall to 8-5 overall and 0-1 in the BIG EAST, while Marquette improves to 10-3 overall and 1-0 in league play.

Graduate student guard Rodney Pryor (Evanston, Ill./Notre Dame Prep/Robert Morris) led the Hoyas with 23 points and seven rebounds, while sophomore forward Marcus Derrickson (Bowie, Md.
