WASHINGTON - For the third year in a row, Georgetown and Butler went into extra minutes in the District in a game that was tied nine times and had five lead changes. With 2.7 seconds on the clock in the second overtime, Butler's Kelan Martin nailed a jump shot to seal the 91-89 win. With the loss the Hoyas slip to 10-2 on the year and open BIG EAST play with a 0-1 record. Butler improves to 11-3 on the season, with a 1-0 record in conference play.
"It's a game we should've won," Head Coach Patrick Ewing said.
