Hartford, Conn. - Georgetown used a second half run to take a four-point lead with six minutes left, but UConn outscored the Hoyas 12-2 over the final minutes and hung on for a 68-62 win at the XL Center Saturday afternoon.
The loss drops Georgetown’s record to 12-8 overall, while the Huskies improve to 14-5 overall. It was the first meeting between the longtime BIG EAST Conference rivals since a 79-78 Hoya win at UConn during the 2012-13 season.
