WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women’s basketball team closed out a three-game road swing with a tough 68-67 loss to the Villanova University Wildcats (18-5, 8-4 BIG EAST) on Saturday afternoon in a BIG EAST Conference matchup. With the loss, the Hoyas drop to 10-12 overall and 5-7 in league play.
“Our goal is always to hold teams under 55 and we didn’t and that was tough,” said Georgetown Head Coach James Howard. “There were some possessions that we didn’t capitalize on, we have to make free throws and we have to finish around the rim.
