Omaha, Neb. - The Georgetown University women’s basketball team suffered its first BIG EAST Conference loss of the season to the Creighton University Bluejays (8-4, 2-0 BIG EAST), 69-58, Saturday afternoon at D.J. Sokol Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. With the loss, the Hoyas move to 6-6 overall and 1-1 in league play.
Junior guard Dionna White (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill) led the way with 18 points and five rebounds. She was followed by senior guard Mikayla Venson (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) who tallied 17 points and a team-high six assists. Venson also managed her 1,000th career point in the contest.
