WASHINGTON - Despite a late comeback attempt, the Georgetown University men’s basketball team dropped a 74-69 decision to the visiting Providence College Friars on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, Georgetown slips to 15-12 on the season with a 5-11 mark in BIG EAST play, while PC improves to 18-12 on the year with a 9-8 record in league action.
“We’re going through growing pains,” Head Coach Patrick Ewing said after the game. “We’re going to have good games and bad games. For right now, we’re going to have nights like this. We have to keep striving to get better.
