WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team (17-9, 9-7 BIG EAST) defeated the Xavier University Musketeers (11-16, 3-13 BIG EAST), 81-63, Sunday afternoon at McDonough Arena in the home regular season finale. It was the second-consecutive game that the Blue & Gray surpassed 80 points.
“As a coach, mentor and mother figure, this is the maturation process,” said Georgetown Head Coach Natasha Adair on the seniors. “I talk to them about basketball, but we’re talking to them about life on a daily basis. About using this opportunity and what’s next for them. To see them through these past three years, they have been great examples for their team.
