Georgetown Comeback Falls Short at St. John’s

QUEENS, N.Y. - Despite a late comeback, the Georgetown University women's basketball team could not overcome a tough second quarter as the squad fell, 65-54, to the St. John’s University Red Storm (17-9, 9-10 BIG EAST) on Sunday afternoon at Carnesecca Arena. With the loss, the Hoyas dropped to 15-9 overall and 7-7 in BIG EAST Conference play.

Three Hoyas scored in double figures as junior guard Dorothy Adomako (Midlothian, Va./Cosby) led the way with 21 points as well as five rebounds. Senior forward Faith Woodard (Brandon, Fla./Freedom) managed 14 points and seven boards, while junior forward Cynthia Petke (Yaounde, Cameroon/-/Chipola College) added 10 points and seven rebounds.
