WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women’s basketball team made a spirited comeback down the stretch, but fell to the Villanova University Wildcats (13-2, 3-2 BIG EAST), 60-58, in a BIG EAST Conference matchup on Wednesday evening at McDonough Arena. With the loss the Hoyas drop to 7-8 overall and 2-3 in league play.
“Villanova is a very well-coached team, and you have to be very disciplined on defense or they’ll catch you,” said Georgetown Head Coach James Howard. “We need to isolate our guards to get them more shots. It wasn’t what they (Villanova) did to us in that second quarter, we just missed shots.
